Free Community Day
Once a year, we open the gates and invite the community to wander Willow Hill — no tickets, no pressure, just a chance to explore.
Stroll the historic Little Chicago boardwalk, step inside our unique guest accommodations, wander the Enchanted Forest and interpretive trails, read the stories behind the land, and enjoy some peaceful nature while the kids run free. We are crossing our fingers that the Long Eared Owls will nest in the Enchanted Forest again this year so we can catch a glimpse!
This year’s open house will include short guided story tours of Little Chicago, sharing the real history of the foothills oil boom and how it inspired the boardwalk and signage you see today. Tours will run throughout the afternoon and are optional to join.
